Archival Film Footage
WORLD ALOFT has archival film footage of the Wright Brother's historic first flight in France. Currently, there are 3 clips available. The Takeoff footage is a short clip showing how the derrick and catapult system was used to launch the flyer, while the Extended footage expands on the Takeoff footage by showing how the flyer was prepared for launch as well as a few shots of the craft actually in flight. The final short film is a detailed account of the Wrights and their aeronautical exploits in the year 1909, complete with narration and long shots of the flyer in operation.
