Tambopata Research Trip - June-July, 2014 (24 of 67)

We camped out on high point bars most nights, but the water was so high that by the end of the trip the bars were covered (or so close to covered) that it was not safe to camp on them (in case the water continued to rise). At that point we stayed at small research lodges and (once) ranger stations on high cliffs above the river.
