Tambopata Research Trip - June-July, 2014 (1 of 67)

We were greeted at our lodge in Puerto Maldonado (on the Madre de Dios River) by this 3-toed sloth. Apparently, the tree he had been living in was being cut down, so he was migrating from one side of the lodge to the other to find a new home. He had no problem negotiatng the steep roof beams of the lodge's dining room!
