Dr. Wilburn,

Larium [which is taken to prevent the contraction of malaria is an] ...interesting drug indeed. I have now been taking it for 7 months and no big problems yet. Although others who are studying here seem to be affected by it more so. When I was hanging out with them in the early months, we all took it on Sundays; well Monday morning in class the topic of conversation was always "Larium Dreams." I have had one experience (whether it was a coincidence or not, who knows?) of those very life-like and colorful vivid dreams. That has been the only side effect that I have heard of. Some of the group have quit taking it because they say that there is chance for damage to the body (liver?). Things otherwise are ok. Will write later! --John
