Ok, that is ok, but when I went to the Kwanza/Kwanzaa celebration on [ECU's] campus back when I was in your class [the celebrants] went on about other words that symbolized certain aspects that they wanted to promote. They were all Kiswahili words and had the definitions. I have my journal from my class with you here and ran these words, as used by the Kwanzaa organizers at ECU, by my roommate. He said that they were close enough. [As I see it], if the goal is to try to build awareness, then it might have been better to use languages that could be found in the general region of your ancestry. I guess though Africa is seen more as one....--John
