COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Your final grade in the course will be based on:

(1)  ASSIGNMENTS from 15 Learning Modules & Postings to 4 Discussion Boards,
(2) 15 ONLINE Quizzes and
(3) ONLINE Final Exam

This is a go-at-your-own-pace course with one DUE DATE for EVERYTHING which is:  Monday, December 6th at 11:59 pm.

ONLINE ASSIGNMENTS/Discussion Boards (80 Points)
-There are ONLINE ASSIGNMENTS that accompany each of the 15 Online LESSONS.  (Two - four assignments per each of the 15 modules.  You must complete them ALL to receive full credit.)
-These can be found within each of the 15 Modules.
-The ONLINE ASSIGNMENTS from the 15 LEARNING MODULES count 80 points toward your final grade.  In order to receive the 80 points you must also complete FOUR Discussion Boards of your choosing.

Submitting your Online Assignments from the 15 Learning Modules:
Open a WORD document and record the answers to each of the assignments from all 15 Learning Modules in that ONE Word document as you do them. Once you have completed all Assignments from all 15 Learning Modules, upload that one document to Canvas under the Assignments link .  Number the assignments so I can tell what-is-what (you do not have to retype the actual questions). Do NOT upload your assignments until you have completed all discussion boards.

I must receive these assignments by
Monday, December 6th  at 11:59 pm   NO LATE ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED!!!

Posting to the Discussion Boards:
-As you work on the 15 Modules, goIto the DISCUSSION Link in the Canvas menu.  There you will find several discussion questions. Once there, select the question you want to respond to and click REPLY; type your answer to the question.  During the semester, choose a minimum of 4 Discussion Board Questions that interest you.

-In order to get the 80 points credit for the Online Assignments you turn in, you must also make TWO POSTINGS for each of the FOUR questions you choose to answer.
-The first posting ("initial posting") should answer the Discussion question you have selected to answer.
-In addition to answering ("initial post") your four selected Discussion questions, you must also make one "comment posting" either to another classmate's posting or as a response to comments that were made by your classmates to the "initial posting" you made.

-Please make the subject line of your postings "catchy" to entice others to read your posting.

-The purpose of the Discussion Board is for you to interact with your classmates.  Please direct your postings to you classmates, not to the instructor.  While I read all the postings, I do not respond unless someone has posted erroneous or inappropriate information.  The Discussion Boards are a place for you and your fellow students to interact...like class discussion!  (If a fellow student has been profane or abusive in a Discussion post, please email me immediately and let me know!)

Click Here to read the Criteria for evaluating Discussion Board Postings.
Do not upload your 15 assignments document until you have completed all 4 Discussion Boards.

ONLINE Quizzes (150 points)

-There is an ONLINE Quiz for each of the 15 ONLINE modules. They are located under the QUIZZES link.
-You do NOT have to use RESPONDUS to take the 15 Quizzes.
-Each quiz is composed of 10 True-False questions that count 1 point each.

-The quiz items come directly from your ONLINE NOTESHEETS (located under the LEARNING MODULES button).
You may use your NoteSheets when taking the quizzes; but may not look up the information on any web source. If you do, this constitutes an academic integrity violation and will be reported. With the exception of the Syllabus Quiz (which must be taken during the first two weeks of class), you may take the quizzes anytime before
Monday, December 6th  at 11:59 pm

-You have only ONE opportunity to take each quiz and you have a 10-minute completion time limit. The quizzes will automatically save and submit after 10 minutes.  DO NOT OPEN A QUIZ UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO TAKE AND SUBMIT IT!

(The Online Notesheets are for your benefit when taking the quizzes...you do NOT need to send them to me.)

Please note that SHARING YOUR COMPLETED Notesheets with other classmates is an academic integrity violation.  The completion of the Notesheets should be your own work!

FINAL EXAM (170 points)

The reading you do on your own in your textbook is a very important part of this class.  The final exams test your knowledge of the textbook reading.

-You must use RESPONDUS LOCKDOWN/MONITOR to take the Final Exam.  Complete instructions for doing so can be found on our Canvas course page.

-Your FINAL EXAM will cover information from your assigned TEXTBOOK Reading.  All items on the Final Exam are included on the Textbook Study Guide.

-The Final Exam can be taken on Canvas from November 30th until
Monday, December 6th  at 11:59 pm.

-I suggest that you read and complete your Textbook Study Guide as you are doing the Online Lesson that goes with that reading.   (The reading assignments are listed on each of the 15 Learning Module opening pages.) DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE END OF THE SESSION AND TRY TO DO ALL THE TEXTBOOK READING AT ONE TIME!

-The exam will count 170 points.

Please note that I do not give Incompletes unless you have an approved Dean of Students' request.
