Description: Thermodynamics with applications and an
introduction to statistical mechanics. Topics include statistical basis of
thermodynamics, Maxwell relations, phase changes, idea gases, kinetic theory of
gases, quantum statistics, and fluctuations.
Prerequisite: Intermediate thermodynamics.
40% Tests (20% for each of 2
tests)
20% Final Exam
