1) Neuropsychology of Emotion: Dr. Everhart is board certified in clinical neuropsychology (ABPP) and uses electrophysiology (i.e., EEG and ERPs) to investigate relationships between variables such as emotion processing, personality attributes, neurophysiology, and risk factors for cardiovascular disease. He co-directs the Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory at East Carolina University.
2) Sleep Medicine: Dr. Everhart
is also certified in Behavioral Sleep Medicine (CBSM). Dr. Everhart's specific interests include neurocognitive impairment associated with various sleep disorders (i.e., apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy), personality attributes that contribute to treatment adherence, and electrophysiological correlates of sleep disorders.
