Storage
At the May, 2005, meeting of the Information Resources Coordinating Council, Joe Norris announced that the storage size for faculty and staff e-mail account has doubled to 200MB (mega bytes) and that for students has increased from 10 MB to 70 MB. In the October, 2008, issue of the ECU Technology Digest, it was announced that faculty and staff mail accounts now have 500 MB.

Limit on Size of Outgoing EMail

It is 30 mB, but many ISPs will not allow such large emails to be received by their customers. (Christian Holcombe, February, 2007).

Termination of Student Email Accounts

Accounts of students who drop out of school will remain active on the system for a period of two regular semesters after which they will be terminated if the student has not returned to school (Jack Brinn, CIO, March, 2006).
