Make-Up Exams in Dr. Karl Wuensch's PSYC 1000 class
The deadline for registering for the make-up examination is 2:00 PM on Thursday the 9th of April, 2009.
As you know, make-up exams are given during the second hour of the final examination period. If you miss one of the first three exams for any reason, I shall assume that you will be there to make it up on that last class meeting -- registration for the make-up is, in this case, automatic -- this form need not be completed.
Students who have missed no exams may elect to take the makeup examination to replace a grade that they received on one of the first three exams. Those wishing to take advantage of this option must fill out this form and deliver it to me not later than one week after the date of the third exam. Please be aware that taking the make-up examination could lower your average if you do more poorly on it than you did on the exam whose grade you are replacing.
I wish to take the comprehensive examination (covering the material that was tested earlier on the first three exams) and have my grade on that comprehensive examination replace the lowest of my first three exam scores. I agree that my score on the comprehensive exam will replace the lowest of my scores on the first three exams, even if my score on the comprehensive exam is lower than the score I made earlier.
