BlackBoard Course Request Site

This memo from Matt explains how to use the BB course request site to roll over content from a previous semester, collapse two or more sections into one, and modify which of your courses is displayed when you log in.

Hello All -

I have just added 6550 sites Fall 2007 Blackboard sites to the ECU server. The request process to have sections collapse and information rolled over will be a little different starting with the Fall 2007 semester. For all Fall 2007 courses you will need to visit the newly create course request page to submit your requests.

On this page you will see three options.

Option #1 - You simply want course sections collapsed and no content copied.

Option #2 - You simply want content rolled over to a single Blackboard site.

Option #3 - You want to collapse sections AND roll over content.

Fall 2007 Request Page

If you simply want a new course (with no content) you don't have to do anything. The site is already up and ready to go.

The key piece of information that will be needed for all course requests on this page is the course ID. This information can be found on your MY COURSES tab inside Blackboard. You will see the Course ID displayed for each of the courses listed.

Here is quick video on how to find the course ID.

You also have the ability to remove courses from the MY BLACKBOARD view. If you are teaching five courses in the Fall but only plan to use Blackboard for three of them you can remove them from you list by following the tutorial listed below. The courses are not deleted just removed from your view. You will still see them listed under the My Courses Tab.

See the video tutorial below.

Please continue to use the old course request page for your Summer Session #2 requests.

Please call or email me with any suggestions for the request page. Is it clear? How can I make it better?

Thanks.
