Background Information
My area is Developmental Psychology
which is the study of normal human development. I am interested in the
social development of
preschoolers
and interactions among children in cooperative learning groups,
especially
in mathematics classes. I am also interested in the development of
identity
and achievement motivation in college students. The goal of this
research
is to improve the quality of instruction in undergraduate
Developmental
Psychology classes and help students relate the concepts presented in
that
class to their own developmental processes. Recently, I am involved in
assessing the effects of service learning and community service on
college students' personal growth and development.
