(2) Class discussions of Nine Parts of Desire, The Adventures of Ibn Battuta, The Sheltered Quarter, and the assigned work of Edward Said are worth 20% of your course grade. Discussions must be entered into your journal under "Class Entries."
Final Exam (20%):
If you are satisfied with your assignment grade, you do not have to take the final exam. If you take the exam, expect 3 sections, each having 2 essay questions. You will choose 1 question from each section. Your final exam will be on Friday, 27 July during class.
