Likely John Satterfield, he was a small farmer and slaveowner who lived in Rockyhock. His 85-acre farm and four slaves were valued at $1,352. Parker's assessment of the slaves on the plantation is fairly accurate. There were two enslaved females on the plantation, one 28 and the other 12. There were also a five-year-old boy and a six-month old girl.
