PROJECT 3: ALLEN PARKER SLAVE NARRATIVE Third Grade By Karyl F. Willis   OVERVIEW In this unit on African-American history, students will hear and respond to a text written by a former slave, Allen Parker. They will compare the lives of slaves to their own. They will learn a little about North Carolina geography as they learn where Edenton is in relation to Kinston.
