    PROJECT 7: HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?

    OBJECTIVES

    National Curriculum Standards for Social Studies

    • 2.C - Compare and contrast different stories or accounts about past events, people, places, or situations, identifying how they contribute to our understanding of the past.
    • 2.E - Demonstrate an understanding that people in different times and places view the world differently.
    • 10.B - Identify examples of rights and responsibilities of citizens.

     

    North Carolina Standard Course of Study

    Grade 1:

    • 2.2 - Distinguish similarities and differences among individuals and families.
    • 2.3 - Compare onešs own family life with that of a child living in another culture.
    • 4.3 - Elaborate on the need to apply rules fairly in the home, school and community.

    Grade 2:

    • 2.2 - Describe similarities and differences among families in different neighborhoods and communities.
    • 4.4 - Identify examples of responsible participation in neighborhoods and communities.
    • 4.5 - Evaluate fair and unfair procedures for dealing with neighborhood and community problems.
