    PROJECT 5: TRADITION AND CULTURE
    Integrated Learning Project

    OBJECTIVES

    During this unit, the students will address:

    National Curriculum Standards for Social Studies

    • Strand I - Social studies programs should include experiences that provide for the study of culture and cultural diversity.
    • Strand III - People, Places, & Environments-Social studies programs should include experiences that provide for the study of people, places, and environments.

     

    National Geographic Standards

    • Standard 4 - Places and Regions-The physical and human characteristics of places.
    • Standard 6 - Places and Regions-How culture and experience influence peoplešs perceptions of places and regions.

     

    North Carolina Standard Course of Study

    • Social Studies

      - Identify a variety of examples of cultural traditions.
