Southeastern Section

The Southeastern Section was established by the Council of the Geological Society of America in December 1947. Included in the section are the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
