Working with mineral identification with enthusiastic 8 year old 3rd grader Annica Sutton!
Anni, her brother Tyler, and Adriana

In this photo Anni is learning how to use a hand lens to identify minerals

Anni and Adriana

Last time, Anni came to ECU and attended one of my Geology 1500 classes;
she asked lots of questions and was very excited! She brought a project that she did
in which she classified and ordered minerals in a beautiful board. She explained how she
did it to the entire class.  She also brought me a "bag of dirt" with tones of mineral that
I am supposed to mine out of it.
