Camping and Lodging
During our stay in New Mexico and Colorado and on the van-truck trip out and back, we will be camping and staying in lodges or hostels with dorm or bunk rooms respectively. Hence, students will need camping gear including tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad-thermorest as well as personal items, such as towels and toiletries. Students and Staff will be camping on the trip out and perhaps on the trip back although we may stay in cheap motels on the trip back if the weather is really hot. In addition, we will be camping at Abiquiu, Jemez Springs, and Navajo Lake, NM and a night each near the Great Sand Dunes National Park, CO and at Creede, CO. Hence, students and staff will need his/her own tent, sleeping bags sleeping pad, and towels and other related gear for the duration of the field course. At Sipapu Lodge near Taos, NM, and at Hacienda de Valdez, near the Taos Ski Valley, students and staff will be housed in bunk, dorm, or cabin style rooms. At Sipapu Lodge and Hacienda de Valdez, blankets, linens, and towels are furnished.

Camping: You will be camping at the following locations/situations:
2 nights on trip out in Tennessee and Oklahoma (1 night may be in a cheap motel)
7 nights at Abiquiu, NM
5 nights at US Forest Service Vista Linda Campground near Jemez Springs, NM
3 nights at Navajo Lake State Park, east of Aztec, NM
1 night at Great Sand Dunes, CO in transition night from Sipapu, NM to Creede, CO
1 night at Rio Grande National Forest at Creede or South Fork, CO
2 nights on trip back in Oklahoma and Tennessee (one or both of these may be in
a cheap motel)
Dorm Room Lodging: You will be sleeping in a bunk/dorm/cabin rooms with beds at these sites:
