Instructions for Submitting an Application and Payment of Tuition

for Geology 601-602, Summer Geology Field Course,

at the UNC-CH Friday Center 

 

These instructions are for any student, who is planning to enroll in the North Carolina  Summer Geology Field Course, administered by the Department of Geological Sciences at East Carolina University.

 

The application for Geology 601-602 – Summer Geology Field Course, offered via the UNC-CH Friday Center in Chapel Hill, can be accessed by clicking the following link

 

You should submit the application for Geology 601-602 by post (snail mail) or fax.  
 
Although the official early registration period for Summer Session I begins March 23 and ends April 11, a student can submit his/her application for Geology 601-602 at any time from January 2008 until the application deadline of April 11, 2008.  The address, fax, and phone information appears at the top of the application.  You will be registering for “1st Summer Session 2008”.  You also might put “Attention – Ms. Arlene Rainey” when you post or fax your application.  Please note that the Summer Geology Field Course, Geology 601-602, is a 6 semester hour course (3 + 3 hours) and the Geology Field Course sections (982) are already filled in for you on the UNC-CH Friday Center application.   

 

If a student submits his/her application by the April 11, 2008 deadline, he/she will then be billed $817.64 (same rate for both NC and non-NC resident) for the tuition payment for Geology 601-602.  The exact billing dates will be stated on your tuition bill from the UNC-CH Cashiers Office.  Instructions for the payment process appear about mid way down on page 2 of the application and should also appear on your tuition billing statement.  Tuition payment should be made to the UNC-CH Cashiers Office by cheque or money order or by Mastercard or Diner’s Club.  The tuition payment deadline for Geology 601-602 is April 30, 2008.  If a student has not made his/her tuition payment by this deadline, his/her registration will be dropped.  If a student’s registration is dropped, he/she can still enroll in the course, but let’s try to avoid this scenario OK!

 

Contact information for Ms. Rainey is noted immediately below:  Please post or fax your Application for Geology 601-602 to Ms. Rainey.  Your tuition payment of $817.64 should be sent to the UNC-CH Cashiers Office as noted when you are billed for Geology 601-602.  Do NOT send tuition payments to Ms. Rainey.
