As a participant in the Technical and Professional Communication (TPC) Program at East Carolina University, you are advised to gain working knowledge of a variety of software programs.  One program in particular is FrameMaker.  Framemaker 6.0 is an Adobe product and its integrated capabilities lie in document design, editing, and publishing.  Do not confuse FrameMaker with other popular design applications such as RoboHelp and FrontPage. RoboHelp, an ehelp corporation product, is the standard authoring tool for developing help files (i.e. HTML Help and WinHelp) for Microsoft applications.  FrontPage, a Microsoft product, is used to design Websites.

This FrameMaker Tutorial will teach you how to create a memorandum, a required task for many TPC classes, such as English 6765: Special Topics, Proposal and Grant Writing and English 6715: Technical Writing.
