"British and American Literary History I"
(Fall 2002, Sect. 002)


The purpose of this course is to examine the various periods of British and American literature, from the time of the first European and Native American contacts to 1800, as background for English majors. In addition, basic research skills for literary study (and for language study in general) will be taught.
