ENGL 6700 Technical Editing and Production
ECU
Kain's Home
Blackboard

Although copy editing is reviewed, the focus of this course is on document design (print and electronic) and substantive and production editing. As part of producing a communication product, such as a document, brochure, or Website, you will learn about basic design principles, planning and production, usability and accessibility, and collaborating with stake-holders. We will also consider related topics in the field such as content management systems, single sourcing, visual identity, and copyright issues. We'll do a lot of work in the area of document design.
