Biography Robert Antoni
was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1958. His
parents were from
Trinidad, but he was raised in the Bahamas.
He studied at Duke University to become a doctor, but an accident left
him in a coma. When he awoke he knew
he wanted to be a writer, so he went to the University of Iowa and took up
Latin America Literature. He now
teaches at the University of Miami, Fla. as a professor of creative
writing. Antoni won the Commonwealth
Writers Prize for Divina Trace. |
