Biography James Berry was born in Jamaica, but emigrated to London. Here he worked for the International Telegraphs Department of the post office until he received the C. Day Lewis Fellowship award. After receiving the award Berry quit the job and became a full time writer. His works demonstrate how the Jamaican language the Caribbean culture should be preserved. |
