Biography Afua
Cooper was born in Jamaica. She is
currently obtaining her Ph.D. in Canadian History at the University of
Toronto. Cooper uses musical vibes of
black diaspora
. She has had many of her poems
included in tapes, CD’s, and in numerous anthologies. She was the first runner up for the Casa
de las Americas prize in 1992. Cooper
now has lived in Toronto since 1980. |
