The Molar Volume of Hydrogen Gas

SAFETY

  • Aqueous hydrochloric acid, HCl(aq), is a strong acid and will burn your skin and clothing if contact by either is made. If you spill chemicals on your skin, flush with water immediately.

  • H2 gas is highly flammable. Do not allow it to come in contact with a Bunsen burner flame. Dispose of the generated H2 by venting it into the hood after measuring the volume.

  • Always wash your hands before leaving the laboratory.
