Blackboard CourseInfo is a Course Management System designed to assist faculty in the development of Internet-based instruction.

CourseInfo is able to do this by creating web pages "on the fly". This means faculty enters course information into a database by using forms. This is done by typing directly into the form. You don't have to know any HTML [web page code]. Once all course information is in the form, click on the Submit button. This stores course information in a database. When the student clicks on a link in their course, CourseInfo assembles the page by going into the database and retrieving course information and assembling it into a web page.

The simple, intuitive interface is the same for each course. This is an advantage to the students. The student learns how to navigate through CourseInfo and use all the tools the first time they use it. Then, the student can apply that knowledge to every other class they take using CourseInfo. Visit the Student Interface to see what the students might see when they visit your course.

The Faculty Interface allows faculty to enter their course  information into the database. Faculty can enter this interface by clicking on the Control Panel button located at the bottom of the navigation bar on the left hand side of the screen. The Control Panel button is not available to students.
