Gradebook Views
The default gradebook settings appear in a table and list the gradebook
items available sorted by student name.
It is possible to view additional information for each student, such
as Student ID and Student Username.
Report By User: Views each student’s grades and statistics individually.
Report by Item: Views all the student records and statistics
for a specific item.
Spreadsheet: Performs the majority of gradebook tasks, such
as modifying entries.
Export Spreadsheet: Exports and save student grades to an Excel
spreadsheet.
There are several methods of viewing and modifying individual student grades. You can "view" grades sorted by Student or Assessment.
Viewing/Modifying Grades by Student Name
To view/modify grades by student name:
Step 2: Use the drop down menu to select a user and click Go.

Step 3: The appropriate student view will appear. If necessary, make changes to the score and click Update Grades.
Step 4: A receipt will appear to confirm the change. You may continue working in the Online Gradebook by selecting Back or return to the Control Panel by selecting the appropriate buttons from the top of the course window.
To view/modify grades by Item name:
Step 2: Use the drop down menu to select an item and click Go.

Step 3: A listing of the assessment, entry information, and individual
student grades will appear.
Modifying grades by the score is the only modify option that provides direct links to student scores.

Note 2: Points Assigned is a check system for Instructors. When a True/False, Multiple Choice, or Fill in the Blank question is viewed, the points given to the student by CourseInfo v. 3.0 (according to the parameters set in assessment creation) are shown as Points Assigned. The Instructor is urged to make sure that the points given to the student correspond with the points allowed for in assessment creation. The value could be misinterpreted due to a case-specific setting or non-typical spelling error.
Step 4: Make the appropriate change click Update Grades.
Step 5: A receipt will appear to confirm the change. You may continue working in the Online Gradebook by selecting Back or return to the Control Panel by selecting the appropriate buttons from the top of the course window.
If a user exceeds the time limit, an exclamation point will appear in the gradebook. To deduct points from a user's exam to account for the extra time, you must select an individual question and modify the points allotted.
Upon completion of the exam, Multiple Choice, True/False, and Fill in the Blank questions will be graded immediately and submitted to the online gradebook. Essay questions must be manually graded.
To view/modify essays:

Step 3: Grade the essay question accordingly and click the Update Grades button.

Surveys can only be viewed by selecting Report By Gradebook Item.
