Notes:
GGAGG is the consensus S/D sequence--it binds to CCUCC on the 16S rRNA.
The S/D sequence is 8-10 bases 5’ to the AUG initiation codon on the mRNA.
The ribosome is positioned exactly for initiation by the S/D-anti-S/D pairing.
